My years of theatrical experience and Masters Degree in sculpture led me to creating sets and props as well as costumes.
Here is a small sampling of the props and sets I have made over the years. My specialty has been in making things giant but lightweight, like the 8ft rhino (under 10 pounds) and the 18x38ft genie puppet for Ballet Met that weighed just 14#.
Other specialties are making things that transform, and designing difficult trick props such as the crucefix that catches fire for Dracula. I also create highly functional,
not just decorative, set pieces like the mushroom for Alice in Wonderland pictured left that is sturdy enough to safely hold 200 pounds standing on it.
